BIRTH & BABY ANTENATAL WORKSHOP

WELCOME YOUR BABY WITH CALM, CONFIDENCE AND SUPPORT

It’s possible to approach birth and early parenthood feeling grounded, informed, and truly supported - even while navigating pregnancy in a new country.

And in Birth & Baby, you’ll learn how to do exactly that.

Birth & Baby is a four-week antenatal workshop for expat couples across Spain, available in a fully online format and a Barcelona-based hybrid format that includes an in-person session.

In this workshop you will:

  • Understand how birth really works and how to support your body

  • Feel confident navigating hospitals and the healthcare system in Spain.

  • Learn how to care for your newborn, support their sleep, and approach breastfeeding with ease

  • Begin parenthood with a clear and supportive birth & postpartum plan

Without family nearby and with so much information online, it can sometimes feel overwhelming.

This workshop was created to give you clarity, confidence and real support — so you can approach birth and early parenthood feeling grounded and prepared.

Welcoming your baby also means taking care of a few important administrative steps in Spain. When you know what to do and when, the process becomes much simpler — and far less stressful.

During the workshop, you will receive clear guidance on:

  • Registering your baby’s birth

  • Applying for your baby’s public healthcare card

  • Registering your baby with Social Security

  • Completing the Padrón registration at your local town hall

You will understand what each step means, when it needs to be done, and how to organise it smoothly during those first weeks with your baby. This guidance will help you feel much more at ease navigating the Spanish system and give you one less thing to worry about as you focus on your new family.

ABOUT ME

You’re preparing to welcome your baby in a new country, and having the right support can make all the difference. That’s where I come in.

I’m Anna Roch Deus, a Doula, Lactation Consultant, and Gentle Sleep Coach based in Barcelona. I know firsthand the challenges of being an expat parent — I'm from Barcelona but moved to London where I had my babies, I’ve navigated language barriers, cultural differences, and the absence of a local support network while expecting and raising my own children.

Over the past years now in Barcelona, I’ve dedicated my work to empowering expat families like yours. I offer comprehensive care from pregnancy and birth to newborn feeding and sleep, helping you feel informed, confident, and supported at every stage. My approach combines professional expertise with mindfulness, gentle guidance, and practical tools, so you can trust yourself, trust your baby, and trust the process.

With me by your side, you won’t just learn about birth — you’ll connect with your own strength, prepare as a couple, and step into parenthood with clarity, calm, and confidence.

CONNECT WITH COUPLES JUST LIKE YOU

One of the most powerful aspects of this workshop is the community you’ll build. You’ll meet other expat couples who are walking the same path — adjusting to life in Spain, navigating pregnancy away from home, and preparing to welcome their first or next child.

Sharing experiences, asking questions, and supporting one another creates a safe, reassuring space that lasts beyond the workshop. You’ll leave not only with knowledge and tools, but also with connections that help you feel seen, understood, and supported as you step into parenthood.

Please note: Due to the nature of my work as a doula, I may occasionally need to attend a birth at short notice. In such cases, a class might need to be rescheduled to the following week. I will always do my best to provide as much notice as possible.
